Colorado is really two trips in one state: a world-class ski destination all winter — Vail, Aspen, Breckenridge, Telluride — and a high-altitude golf and hiking destination the rest of the year, with resort courses like Red Sky and Cordillera making use of the same mountain terrain the lifts run over in January. It’s an easy group trip to plan too: big ski-in/ski-out lodges, direct flights into Denver, and towns built entirely around keeping visitors fed, soaking, and entertained after a day outside.
